Freeway’s new Cumulus web interface makes it easier for vehicle technicians and fitters to use fleet management software in real time. Cumulus was developed using Microsoft Silverlight. It enables workshop staff to interact with Freeway’s core software using tailored screens that communicate live information to and from the workshop floor. This cuts the cost of deploying the system to remote users who need limited access to its functionality and features.The easy web deployment and user-friendly interface provides exactly the right level of detail required on the workshop floor. This simplicity is also proving successful with senior managers as its cuts to the core details (for example, only showing the key details of orders requiring a senior manager’s authorisation).
